My journey with the Social Justice Series began when our TV went out suddenly. I took it apart to try and identify the dysfunctional part, and found that the part itself cost almost as much as a new TV! While moving it around, I scratched the surface, and noticed that what was underneath the screens’ surface was white. I’d worked with encaustic scratching artwork, and thought it would be interesting to try and make a sculpture out of it.
